Sound familiar?

The part of postpartum nobody warned you about

Postpartum shedding is one of the most common hair changes women go through, and one of the most unsettling.

The drain

Clumps in the shower and on your brush

Shedding often peaks around three to four months after birth, when everything else is still a blur.

The hairline

Thinner around your temples

Many moms notice the hairline and temples first, then the baby hairs as they start growing back.

The time

No time for a complicated routine

Two capsules a day with breakfast. That's the whole thing.

From verified buyers

In their words

“I have tried a plethora of hair supplements since I started experiencing shedding and hair thinning after my 4th child, but to no avail. I have been on Firmora for only one month and I'm already seeing little baby hairs filling in on my temples and my hairline!”
Anna P. · Verified buyer
“So far it's been good, I can see a difference in texture and general health. I will know more after I have been taking it for longer.”

At the root

How Firmora supports your follicles

During pregnancy, more hairs stay in their growth phase. After birth, they move into rest together. Here's where each part of the formula comes in as your hair recovers.

Cross-section of a healthy, growing hair follicle in the scalp, with the hair shaft, follicle sheath, hair bulb and blood supply
  1. 1
    The hair shaft

    Built from keratin

Each hair is made almost entirely of keratin, a protein built from amino acids. Firmora provides L-cysteine, a building block of keratin, alongside L-lysine.

  2. 2
    The follicle

    Under stress and hormone shifts

Stress, perimenopause and pregnancy can push follicles out of their growth phase early. Firmora includes ashwagandha, an adaptogen traditionally used to help the body handle stress, and saw palmetto, traditionally used in hair formulas.

  3. 3
    The hair bulb

    Where new hair is made

Its cells are among the fastest-dividing in your body, so they need a steady supply of nutrients. Biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair.

  4. 4
    The blood supply

    Feeding the follicle

Tiny blood vessels deliver oxygen and nutrients to the bulb. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation, and vitamins B6 and D3 support normal cell function.

Why 90 days

How the hair cycle works

Understanding the cycle explains why shedding seems to come out of nowhere, and why anything honest takes months.

Transition2–3 weeksunder 1 in 100 hairs
Rest & shedabout 3 monthsabout 1 in 10 hairs

↻ The cycle repeats

  1. Growth phase

    Most hairs are growing

At any time, most of the hair on your head is in its growth phase, which lasts for years.

  2. The trigger

Hormones and stress shift the balance

Perimenopause, pregnancy and stress can push more hairs into the resting phase at once.

  3. 2 to 3 months later

    That's when you see shedding

Resting hairs usually fall out a couple of months after the trigger, long after you've forgotten it.

  4. The answer

    Consistency over a full cycle

Supporting hair from the inside works on the hair you're growing now. Give it at least 90 days.

Questions

Questions about postpartum hair

Can I take Firmora while breastfeeding?

Please talk to your doctor before taking Firmora if you're breastfeeding. Firmora contains botanicals, including ashwagandha and kelp, that haven't been established as safe for nursing. Many of our customers start Firmora once they've finished nursing, when postpartum shedding is often still noticeable.

When should I start after having my baby?

Once you've finished nursing, or once your doctor says it's OK. Postpartum shedding is often still noticeable for months, so it's not too late to start.

Is postpartum shedding permanent?

For most women it's temporary, and hair returns to its normal cycle within about a year. If shedding continues beyond that, or comes with other symptoms, talk to your doctor.

Can I take Firmora while pregnant or trying to conceive?

We don't recommend Firmora during pregnancy. If you're pregnant or trying to conceive, talk to your doctor first.

How long until I see results?

Hair grows in cycles, so this takes patience. In our test group of 100 women, 93% reported less shedding within three months and 87% reported visible new growth by month six.* That's why we recommend the 90-Day Protocol.

*Self-reported results. Individual results vary.

I have a thyroid condition. Can I take Firmora?

Firmora contains iodine, kelp and ashwagandha, which can affect thyroid function. Please talk to your doctor before starting.

What's your refund policy?

Unopened single bottles can be returned within 30 days of delivery, one return per customer. A $25 shipping and restocking fee is deducted from the refund. The 90-Day and Annual Protocols are final sale. You can cancel any subscription before your next billing date.
